Best AI car photo editing software for dealers

The best AI car photo editing software for dealers: eleven tools compared on published price, free plans, self-serve sign-up and how each meters use.

Written by Andre, Team Motuva8 min read

"Best" lists in this category are usually adverts with a numbered format. This one plays it straighter: eleven real AI car photo tools, what each one is, who it suits, and pricing only where it is actually published. Where a vendor doesn't list its prices, we say so — we don't guess.

Two ground rules. First, Motuva is our product — it's on the list, listed first, and you should read that entry knowing who wrote it. Second, every competitor fact here comes from the vendor's own public site or is attributed to its source, re-checked on 19 October 2026. The right tool depends on your volume, your budget, and how you like to buy — so each entry says who it actually fits. If you want the checklist for judging any of them, it is in how to choose car photo editing software.

The short answer

  • Which is best? It depends on how you want to buy. Five publish prices and let you start yourself (Motuva, CarPixAI, AutoFox, Autoenhance.ai and Optifo). Car Studio AI publishes prices but starts with a booked call. Spyne, CarCutter, Impel AI, CitNOW and Glo3D quote after a sales conversation.
  • Which have a permanent free plan? Motuva (20 images a month) and CarPixAI (10 a month). The others offer a trial or a few free credits, or nothing published.
  • Which have an unlimited plan? Motuva's Ultra at £99 a month and Optifo's unlimited plan at €129 a month.
  • Which is built for real-estate photos rather than cars? Autoenhance.ai, which is on the list because dealers do come across it.

1. Motuva (our product)

AI car photography, self-serve: phone photo in, studio-quality image out, no demo call anywhere in the journey. Pricing is published and flat — Free at £0 (20 images a month, full output quality, no watermark, studio library access; building your own studios starts at Pro), Pro at £49/$49/month (150 images a month plus build-your-own studios), and Ultra at £99/$99/month (unlimited images plus API access — the API is Ultra-only). Monthly, cancel anytime. No credit system: each plan is a flat monthly image allowance. The numbers are all on the pricing page.

The honest note we put on our own pages: the car is never generated. Its own pixels are lifted out of your photograph and composited into a rendered studio, so the car in the output is the car you shot — check each image against the original anyway, because a difficult shot can cut imperfectly at the edges.

Best for: independents and small groups who want a visible price and to be processing images today.

2. CarPixAI

The other self-serve option on this list, and the closest structural mirror to Motuva. CarPixAI publishes four monthly plans — Free (10 images a month, no card), Pro at $39 (150 photos), Business at $99 (500) and Growth at $179 (1,000) — with API access from Business up and custom pricing above 1,000 a month (re-checked 19 October 2026). No unlimited plan; every plan carries a monthly photo allowance.

Best for: dealers who want self-serve in USD and a volume that fits a cap. The side-by-side is here: Motuva vs CarPixAI.

3. Spyne

An enterprise AI photo and video platform, sold through a sales process. Pricing isn't publicly listed — it's tailored to inventory volume, and both dealership plans on its pricing page lead to a "Talk To Sales" button (re-checked 19 October 2026). We don't repeat the figures third-party sites attribute to it, because none can be checked against anything Spyne publishes. The feature set is broad, including 360 video.

Best for: large groups buying an enterprise imaging platform with negotiating volume. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Spyne.

4. CarCutter

An AI background-removal and virtual-showroom platform sold across Europe and globally. Demo-led: pricing is not publicly listed (re-checked 19 October 2026), and the only route in is a booked demo with their team.

Best for: dealers who prefer a demo-led purchase from an established European vendor. Side-by-side: Motuva vs CarCutter.

5. Car Studio AI

An AI vehicle imaging platform sold internationally, with published credit-pack pricing: £31.99 a month for 100 credits, £83.99 for 300 and £155.99 for 600 in the UK ($30.99, $84.99 and $156.99 in the US), custom beyond that (re-checked 19 October 2026; its prices change with the visitor's country). Its pricing FAQ gives every new account 3 free credits, but there is no permanent free tier, and plan buttons route to a booked call rather than direct signup.

Best for: dealers who want published numbers and accept a credit-pack model. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Car Studio AI.

6. AutoFox

AI vehicle imaging sold across Europe and globally; its site also describes a human retouch team, while the self-service plan is automated. It publishes its pricing through a calculator on its own site: Click (16 images a car) from €99.90 a month and Conversion (32 images) from €149.90 for 10 vehicles, rising with volume up to 100 vehicles a month, net of VAT, with a 14-day free trial for up to 5 vehicles that asks for a payment method first (re-checked 19 October 2026). No permanent free tier.

Best for: dealers who want to pay by vehicles a month rather than by images. Side-by-side: Motuva vs AutoFox.

7. Impel AI

Impel AI (formerly SpinCar) is an enterprise AI operating system — 360 imaging, merchandising and customer engagement — serving 8,000+ clients in 50+ countries (per its site). Pricing isn't publicly listed. Demo-led.

Best for: groups shopping for a whole engagement platform where photography is one module among several. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Impel AI.

8. CitNOW

An established automotive video and imaging platform — personalised sales video, vehicle imaging, and workshop and bodyshop tools — used by franchised dealerships and manufacturer programmes (per its site). Demo-led, and no pricing is published anywhere on its site (re-checked 19 October 2026). We don't repeat the figures third-party directories attribute to it, because none can be checked against anything CitNOW publishes.

Best for: franchised dealers buying a video-led platform where photography sits alongside sales video and workshop communication. Side-by-side: Motuva vs CitNOW.

9. Glo3D

An all-in-one merchandising and marketing suite for dealerships — 360 spins, walkaround video, guided photography, AI background removal, chatbots and social posting. It does have a pricing page, and that page carries no figure: plans are quoted per module through its team (re-checked 19 October 2026). Demo-led from there.

Best for: dealers who want 360 spins and merchandising in one suite and don't mind asking for the price. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Glo3D.

10. Autoenhance.ai

The odd one out on this list, and worth knowing for exactly that reason: a self-serve image-enhancement tool built for real-estate photography (per its site) — HDR merging, sky replacement, colour and perspective correction. It corrects the photo you took; it doesn't build a studio around the car. Pricing is published: Essential at $58/month for 100 images — currently $29 on a limited-time offer — extra images at $0.29, or $0.75 per image with no subscription, and a custom Enterprise above 5,000 images a month (re-checked 19 October 2026). Free watermarked previews, no card. Monthly; no annual plan is published.

Best for: dealers whose problem is exposure and colour on photos they already have, rather than a studio background. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Autoenhance.ai.

11. Optifo

A self-serve car-studio app from Denmark, active in 25 countries (per its site) — consistent dealer photos and video shot on a phone. Structurally the closest tool on this list to how Motuva works, so it comes down to the numbers: it publishes a 500-image credit pack at €89 (1 credit = 1 image) and an unlimited plan at €129 a month, both excluding VAT (re-checked 19 October 2026). There's a free trial, but no permanent free tier is listed. It runs as a mobile app.

Best for: dealers who want a phone-led app with an unlimited price printed on the page. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Optifo.

How to read this market

Eleven tools, but really three buying models:

  • Self-serve with published pricing — Motuva, CarPixAI, AutoFox, Autoenhance.ai, Optifo. You can see the cost, sign up or start a free plan or trial, and judge the output on your own cars today.
  • Published pricing, sales-assisted — Car Studio AI. Numbers on the page, a call to get going.
  • Enterprise, quote-only — Spyne, CarCutter, Impel AI, CitNOW, Glo3D. Cost and contract terms arrive after a sales conversation. Fine at group scale; slow and opaque for a 30-car independent.

Then look at metering. Credit packs and photo caps mean your cost moves with your volume, and a busy month can leave you topped out — we've broken down why that matters in flat-rate vs credit pricing. Flat allowances and unlimited plans cost the same in a quiet February and a flat-out September.

And check the real total. The headline price is rarely the whole bill once caps, modules and contract length come into it — what car photo editing actually costs dealers walks through the category's pricing honestly, and free vs paid AI car photo editing covers what the free options genuinely include.

The only test that counts

No roundup — including this one — can tell you how a tool performs on your stock, in your light, with your colours. Shortlist two or three, run the same cars through each, and compare outputs side by side before signing anything.

Motuva's free tier exists for exactly that: 20 images a month, full quality, no watermark, no card, no demo.
