Carpages.ca dealer photos: check the photo-only search

Check Canadian Carpages.ca listings through photo-only search, then review the lead image, vehicle identity and gallery rather than counting uploads alone.

A vehicle can be present in your inventory system without appearing in the shopper’s filtered result. For Canadian dealers using Carpages.ca, include the photo-only search in your publication check.

This checks a visible part of the buying experience without assuming that a successful inventory upload means the photographs have arrived.

Start with the actual search options

Carpages.ca’s public search includes a choice to show cars with photos, alongside location and vehicle filters. That gives your team a concrete way to check the published inventory from the shopper’s side.

It does not establish a dealer photo limit or a required number of images. Use the current tools and allowance associated with your dealership’s account.

Compare a unit with and without the filter

Choose a recently added vehicle you expect to find. Locate it with a narrow make, model and location search, then repeat the check with the photo-only option.

If the result changes unexpectedly, open the listing and inspect its image state. Confirm the unit’s stock reference and the source that supplies the photographs. A data record arriving before its media is a different issue from the wrong car being selected in the search.

Check usefulness after presence

A listing passing a photo filter can still have a weak gallery. Open the lead photograph and ask whether it clearly identifies the actual vehicle. Then look for the interior, cargo area and advertised equipment.

For example, a minivan needs a useful view of its seating layout, not just several front-corner pictures. The filter proves that photographs are present; it does not prove that those photographs answer buying questions.

Keep location and identity together

When the same model appears at more than one dealership location, compare the pictured trim, wheels and interior with the unit’s record. Do not infer the correct vehicle from a similar exterior color alone.

Keep an approved photo set linked to the stock reference. If the public gallery is wrong, that record lets the team trace which set was intended instead of repeatedly uploading unverified files.

Finish with a shopper review

Motuva Studio can prepare exterior presentation images for your usual upload route. Retain originals, compare processed output against them and include the interior and condition details you capture yourself.

After the normal update, repeat the public search and gallery review on a phone. This is a Canadian listing workflow using downloaded files; no direct Carpages.ca integration or measured sales improvement is promised. The useful result is a findable unit with photographs that explain the car.
