An auction condition photograph and a retail hero image have different jobs. Canadian dealers sourcing or selling through EBlock should preserve that distinction when a vehicle enters the retail photo workflow.
One helps document the unit at a particular point in the wholesale process. The other introduces the car in its current retail presentation.
Start with the auction context
EBlock’s Canadian auction information describes dealer-to-dealer trading and condition reports. The report and associated evidence belong to that transaction context.
This article does not describe EBlock’s submission specifications, guarantee a report’s completeness or advise on arbitration deadlines. Check current auction requirements separately when preparing a wholesale listing.
Preserve acquisition evidence
Keep the received report and available photographs together under the vehicle’s identifying record. Retain their source and date rather than mixing them anonymously into a retail export folder.
If a bumper mark is visible at acquisition, the evidence remains useful even after repair. Do not overwrite that record with a polished image and assume the old condition can be reconstructed later.
Inspect before selecting retail images
Once the vehicle arrives, compare its visible condition with the information received. Record discrepancies through your dealership’s appropriate process. A photo review cannot establish mechanical condition or replace an inspection.
Before reusing any third-party photograph publicly, verify permission to use it. Access to an auction image is not, by itself, a license to publish that image in every retail channel.
Build a current retail set
After visible reconditioning, photograph the actual car again where needed. Show the current exterior, interior, equipment and remaining wear. Choose the lead image for clear identification, rather than because it was the most attractive photograph in the acquisition pack.
Keep condition close-ups understandable with a wider locating view. When a repair changes the visible appearance, check all affected angles; replacing one detail image may leave the old damage visible in another photograph.
Keep presentation editing in its lane
Motuva Studio prepares exterior presentation images from photographs you own or are entitled to use. Preserve originals and inspect the processed output against them. Keep interiors and condition evidence separately captured and clear.
Upload the approved retail set through your existing process, then inspect the public gallery. No EBlock integration, auction certification or dispute outcome is promised. The verified result is a current retail gallery with its acquisition evidence still available as a separate record.
