EDealer photo galleries: sharing a view or staying on the page

Choose between EDealer’s photo-viewing experiences for your Canadian dealership, then test shared image links and the buyer’s return to the vehicle page.

A shopper may want to inspect the gallery without leaving the vehicle page. A salesperson may want to share one exact photograph of a seat or cargo area. Those are different needs.

For Canadian dealerships using EDealer, test the photo-viewing choice against both tasks before settling on the presentation.

Understand the announced options

EDealer’s 2026 gallery update describes opening photographs on a separate page with a unique link, or using a full-screen viewer while remaining on the vehicle page. Check the availability and settings for your current website theme.

A unique photo link is useful for a different reason from a full-screen view. One helps identify a specific image to share; the other keeps the browsing context close at hand.

Test a real sharing question

Choose a photograph that answers a particular buyer question, such as the cargo floor with the rear seats folded. Open it as a customer and try the sharing route your website provides.

Open the resulting link in a separate browser view. Does it show the intended photograph, and can the recipient understand which vehicle it belongs to? Review that manually before using the link in your normal sales process. This guide does not send any customer message for you.

Check the way back

Inspect how a shopper returns from the photograph to the vehicle details. On a phone, confirm that the viewer can be closed or the previous page restored without losing the unit they were considering.

Do not judge only whether the image is large. A clear photograph with an awkward return journey can still interrupt the buyer’s inspection. Record the actual issue rather than asking for a vaguely “better gallery”.

Make individual photographs understandable

When a view may be shared alone, include enough context to explain it. A close-up of a mark needs a wider companion showing its location. An equipment photograph should identify the control rather than show an indistinct corner of the dashboard.

Avoid relying on promotional text to identify the stock unit. Keep the vehicle record and page context correct, and preserve clean files for other destinations.

Approve imagery before the viewing mode

Motuva Studio prepares exterior images for your established upload workflow. Review processed exteriors against their originals and retain separately captured interiors and condition details.

Then test the chosen EDealer viewing experience with the approved set. No direct Motuva integration is implied. The final decision should help the shopper inspect the car and help your team refer to a specific view without confusing it with another unit.
