Spyne is one of the biggest names in AI car photography — an enterprise AI photo and video platform for dealerships, sold through a sales process. Its pricing isn't publicly listed; plans are tailored to inventory volume, and both dealership plans on its pricing page lead to a "Talk To Sales" button (checked August 2026). Figures attributed to Spyne on third-party sites can't be checked against anything it publishes, so we don't repeat them. We covered what could be verified about its cost in how much Spyne costs.
If that model doesn't fit you — because you want a published price, a self-serve signup, or a monthly commitment you can walk away from — here are six alternatives worth looking at.
One disclosure before the list: Motuva is our product. It is listed first because this is our blog, and the entry is written the same way as the others — facts, who it suits, and pricing only where it is actually published. Everything stated about competitors comes from their public sites or is attributed; where a price isn't published, we say so rather than guess.
1. Motuva (that's us)
Motuva is AI car photography for dealers: upload a phone photo, choose a studio, download a studio-quality image. It is fully self-serve — email and password, no demo call, no sales process — and the pricing is published.
The plans: Free is £0 — 20 images a month, full output quality, no watermark, with access to the studio library (building your own studios starts at Pro). Pro is £49/$49/month — 150 images a month, plus build-your-own studios. Ultra is £99/$99/month — unlimited images and API access; the API is Ultra-only. Everything is monthly, cancel anytime. An honest note, because it matters: the car in the output is your own photograph of it — the vehicle's pixels are composited into a rendered studio, and nothing about the car is generated. A difficult shot can still separate imperfectly at the edges, so check the result against the original before publishing.

2. CarCutter
CarCutter is an AI background-removal and virtual-showroom platform for dealerships, sold across Europe and globally through a sales process. Its pricing is not publicly listed (checked August 2026); the site offers a "try for free" demo and a booked demo with their team, so cost and terms come after the sales conversation.
Who it suits: dealers who are comfortable with a demo-led purchase and want an established European platform. Side-by-side: Motuva vs CarCutter.
3. AutoFox
AutoFox is an AI-plus-human-retouch hybrid for dealership imagery, sold across Europe and globally. Part of the work runs through a human retouch team (per their site). It does publish pricing — four vehicle-banded tiers at €59, €99, €179 and €249 a month for 10, 20, 40 and 60 vehicles, each cancellable monthly with a 7-day trial you can start straight from the pricing page (checked August 2026). There is no permanent free tier.

4. CarPixAI
CarPixAI is a self-serve AI car photo tool with published pricing — structurally the closest of these to how Motuva works. It publishes credit-based monthly tiers at $19 (Starter, 50 photos), $69 (Professional, 200) and $149 (Business, 500), plus a custom Enterprise plan, and offers a free trial of 5 photos with no card (checked August 2026). There is no unlimited plan — paid tiers carry monthly photo caps, though its page states that unused credits roll over.

5. Car Studio AI
Car Studio AI is an AI vehicle imaging platform sold internationally, priced in published credit packs: $65/month for 100 credits, $175.50 for 300 and $333.45 for 600, with custom pricing beyond that (checked August 2026). Every new account gets 3 free credits per its pricing FAQ — enough to see the output, not a permanent free tier — and the plan "Get Started" buttons route to a booked call rather than a direct signup. Its FAQ also states that credits do not roll over.

6. Autoenhance.ai
Autoenhance.ai is an AI photo-enhancement tool built for real-estate photography, sold in the UK and globally. It publishes its pricing on its own page: one subscription, Essential, at $58/month for 100 images — currently $29 on a limited-time offer — with extra images at $0.29, a pay-per-image option at $0.75, and a custom Enterprise tier (checked August 2026). It is an enhancement tool first, so check whether its automotive output covers the background and studio treatment you need, rather than image correction alone.
Who it suits: dealers whose main need is enhancing existing photos rather than full studio-style backgrounds.
How to choose between them
The tools above split on a few simple questions. Answer these and the shortlist mostly builds itself:
- Is the pricing published? Motuva, CarPixAI, Car Studio AI, AutoFox and Autoenhance.ai publish numbers. Spyne and CarCutter quote through sales — you find out the cost after the conversation, not before.
- Can you start without a call? Motuva, CarPixAI, AutoFox and Autoenhance.ai let you sign up or start a trial yourself. Spyne, CarCutter and Car Studio AI run through a demo or a booked call.
- Caps or flat allowance? CarPixAI and Car Studio AI meter usage with credits or photo caps. Motuva's plans are flat monthly allowances, with unlimited at the top.
- What does it commit you to? Monthly-cancel-anytime and annual contracts are very different risks. Where a vendor doesn't publish its terms, ask before signing.

The simplest way to decide
Whatever direction you lean, test on your own stock before you commit to anything. Photographs of your actual cars, in your actual forecourt light, are the only sample that matters.
