Moving from Spyne or CarCutter to Motuva

Moving your car photos to Motuva from another imaging tool: what changes, what stays the same, and how to try it alongside what you use now.

If you use another imaging tool today, here's what moving to Motuva involves. We don't describe other tools here: the fairest comparison is your own cars, in both.

What changes

  • How you pay: a Motuva plan is a monthly subscription that includes your images for the month. There's nothing to top up and no packs to buy.
  • How you work: take the photos on your phone, add up to 30 to an advert, and Motuva puts each one in your studio. See Create an advert.
  • Your studio: every plan can use the ready-made studios and outdoor scenes in the library, and Pro and Ultra can also build their own.

What stays the same

  • Your listing sites: you upload the finished photos where you always have.
  • Your review: check every photo before it goes live, whichever tool made it.
  • Your files: photos download as JPG, or as PNG if you choose it under Account > Preferences.

How to start

Start on the Free plan and run Motuva alongside what you use now: take a few cars through both and compare. No card is needed. When you're ready to move across, upgrade from Subscription.

Worth knowing upfront

Motuva places the car from your photo into your studio. It doesn't redraw the car, and the same photo in the same studio always gives the same result. If a photo isn't right, change the photo or the studio. See How Motuva Studio works.
