Studio uses the car exactly as your photo shows it, so a sharp, well-lit photo of the whole car gives the best result. A modern phone camera is all you need.
Angles
- Shoot from any usual angle: front, rear, side or three-quarter. Studio recognises the angle and places the car to match.
- Close-ups, such as a wheel or a badge, work too. They're placed over your studio's or scene's background.
- Interior photos keep the cabin, and the view through the windows turns white.
Light
- Shoot in good, even light. A bright, overcast day is ideal.
- Avoid low, strong sun, which throws hard shadows and glare across the bodywork.
- Avoid shooting at night or in poor artificial light.
Framing
- Get the whole car in the frame, with a little space around it.
- Keep other cars, vans and people out of the way.
- You don't need a clean background: Studio replaces it.
Common problems
- Motion blur from moving the phone.
- Rain or dirt on the lens.
- Very close shots with a wide lens, which distort the car.
File size and format
JPEG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC. Large photos are compressed to fit, so there's no need to shrink them first. See Upload a car photo.
