CarCutter Alternatives for Car Dealers (2026)

Six CarCutter alternatives compared honestly for 2026: what each tool does, who it suits, which publish pricing, and which quote through sales.

Written by Andre, Team Motuva5 min read

CarCutter is an AI background-removal and virtual-showroom platform for dealerships, sold across Europe and globally. It is demo-led: the site offers a "try for free" demo and a booked demo with their team, and its pricing is not publicly listed (checked August 2026) — you learn the cost and the terms after a sales conversation. We've covered what is and isn't knowable about its cost in how much CarCutter costs.

Plenty of dealers are fine with that model. If you're not — if you want a price on the page, a signup that takes seconds, or a monthly term — here are six alternatives.

Disclosure up front: Motuva is our product. It leads the list because this is our site, but the entry follows the same rules as every other one — facts from public sources, who each tool suits, and no invented numbers. Where a vendor doesn't publish pricing, we say exactly that.

1. Motuva (our product)

Motuva is AI car photography: photograph the car on your phone, upload, pick a studio, download the finished image. It is self-serve end to end — no demo, no onboarding call, no sales process — with all pricing published.

The plans: Free, £0 — 20 images a month at full output quality with no watermark, using the studio library (building your own studios is a paid-plan feature). Pro, £49/$49/month — 150 images a month plus build-your-own studios. Ultra, £99/$99/month — unlimited images plus API access, and the API is Ultra-only. Monthly billing, cancel anytime, no credit system — a flat image allowance per plan. Full details on the pricing page.

Worth saying plainly: the studio is rendered, the car is not — it is lifted straight out of your own photograph and composited in untouched, because nothing about the vehicle is generated. Check each result against the original before it goes live; the edges of the cut-out are the thing to look at.

Who it suits: independents and small groups who want studio-quality images without a sales process. The direct comparison is here: Motuva vs CarCutter.

2. Spyne

Spyne is an enterprise AI photo and video platform for dealerships, sold through a sales process. Pricing is not publicly listed — plans are tailored to inventory volume, and both dealership plans on its pricing page lead to a "Talk To Sales" button (checked August 2026). Numbers attributed to Spyne on third-party sites cannot be checked against anything it publishes, so we don't repeat them. It is a broader platform than CarCutter in some respects, including 360 video, and it is firmly enterprise-positioned.

Who it suits: larger groups that want a full enterprise imaging platform and have the volume to negotiate with. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Spyne.

3. AutoFox

AutoFox is an AI-plus-human-retouch hybrid: AI does the first pass and a human retouch team finishes the work (per their site). It is sold across Europe and globally, and it does publish pricing — four vehicle-banded tiers at €59, €99, €179 and €249 a month for 10, 20, 40 and 60 vehicles, cancellable monthly, with a 7-day trial you can start straight from the pricing page (checked August 2026). There is no permanent free tier.

Who it suits: dealers who want human eyes on every image and accept the queue and the demo-led purchase that come with it. Side-by-side: Motuva vs AutoFox.

4. CarPixAI

CarPixAI is the self-serve option among CarCutter's competitors: published pricing, direct signup, and a free trial of 5 photos with no card. Its credit-based monthly tiers are $19 (Starter, 50 photos), $69 (Professional, 200) and $149 (Business, 500), plus a custom Enterprise plan (checked August 2026). No unlimited plan — every paid tier carries a monthly photo cap.

Who it suits: dealers who want to start today in USD and can live inside a photo cap. Side-by-side: Motuva vs CarPixAI.

5. Car Studio AI

Car Studio AI is an AI vehicle imaging platform sold internationally. Like CarCutter it is call-led at the front door, but unlike CarCutter it publishes numbers — credit packs at $65/month for 100 credits, $175.50 for 300 and $333.45 for 600, custom beyond that (checked August 2026). Its pricing FAQ says every new account gets 3 free credits, but there is no permanent free tier and the plan buttons route to a booked call rather than a direct signup.

Who it suits: dealers who want visible pricing and don't mind a credit-pack model with a call at the front door. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Car Studio AI.

6. Impel AI

Impel AI (formerly SpinCar) is an enterprise AI operating system for dealerships — 360 imaging, merchandising and customer engagement — serving 8,000+ clients in 50+ countries (per its site). Pricing is not publicly listed. Getting started runs through a booked demo.

Who it suits: dealer groups shopping for a whole engagement platform, not just photography. Side-by-side: Motuva vs Impel AI.

What actually separates them

Strip the marketing away and the field splits on three things:

  1. Price visibility. Motuva, CarPixAI, Car Studio AI and AutoFox publish their numbers. CarCutter, Spyne and Impel quote privately — which makes comparing quotes your job, after three sales conversations.
  2. How you start. Self-serve signup or a self-started trial (Motuva, CarPixAI, AutoFox) versus demo-led (everyone else on this list). Neither is wrong; one costs you a week of calendar.
  3. How usage is metered. Credit packs and photo caps (CarPixAI, Car Studio AI) versus flat monthly allowances with an unlimited option (Motuva). If your stock volume swings month to month, the metering model matters more than the headline price.

If you're moving off an existing tool, our guide to switching car photo editing software covers how to do it without losing images mid-month, and what to look for in a car photo editing tool is the fuller buyer's checklist.

Test before you commit

Every claim above is only as useful as the output on your own cars. Run the same three vehicles through whichever tools will let you, and compare results side by side.

Motuva makes that free: 20 images a month, full quality, no watermark, no card, no demo booked with anyone.
