Set the monthly payment, deposit and APR

Where a finance banner's three figures go, what each box takes, and how to change the figures once the banner is on.

They're the first three boxes on a banner's Finance tab: Monthly, Deposit and APR. You type them, and the banner shows them as you typed them.

How to set them

  1. Open the advert and select the photo.
  2. Under Image settings, select Add banner, or Edit banner if the photo already has one.
  3. Select the Finance tab.
  4. Type the monthly payment in Monthly.
  5. Type the deposit in Deposit and the rate in APR.
  6. Select Apply banner, or Save changes if you're editing.

What each box takes

  • Monthly is the main figure on every finance banner, so always fill it in.
  • Monthly and Deposit take whole amounts. The currency symbol is already in the box, and it follows your account's country.
  • APR takes a rate with up to one decimal place. The % sign is already there.
  • Leave Deposit or APR empty and it's left off the banner, rather than shown as a zero.

The wording around the figures

  • Kicker is the short line that goes with your figures.
  • Button is the wording on the banner's button. Corner has no button, so this box only appears with Bar and Fade.
  • Small print is printed in small type on the banner.

All three start with the wording saved under Account > Banner. Changing them here changes this banner only.

Motuva doesn't check your figures

The Finance tab says so itself: “These figures are yours and Motuva does not check them. Attach a full finance breakdown to your advert description to stay compliant.”

Change the figures later

Select the photo, then select Edit banner. Change the figures and select Save changes. Photos you've already downloaded keep the old figures, so download them again.
