Your first image (step-by-step)

Here's how to go from a phone photo to a finished listing image.

Before you start

You need:

• A Motuva account. See Create your account.
• A photo of the car. A clean exterior shot with the whole car in frame works best. See Photo requirements for a good source image.

Step by step

1. Go to Dashboard.
2. Check your studio on the Studio card. To use another, see Choose a background.
3. Drop your photo on Create your advert, or select it to choose it from your computer.
4. Select Process advert.
5. When the card says Advert created, select View advert.
6. Switch between Original and Processed to compare the result with your photo.
7. Select Download All to save it. See Download an advert's photos.

If the result doesn't look right

The same photo in the same studio always comes out the same, so change what goes in: a better photo, another studio, or the photo's Plate cover if only the plate is wrong. See My image doesn't look right — what to do.

What each image uses

Each photo in an advert uses one image from your monthly allowance. Viewing and downloading don't. See How your monthly image allowance works.
