Build your own studio

Under Studios, Build lets you design your own indoor studio or outdoor scene. The preview renders as you choose, on every plan. Saving is on Pro and Ultra, and what you save becomes the background your new adverts use.

How to build a studio

Select Studios in the sidebar, then Build.
Open Environment and choose Studio.
Choose a Room, then open Stage, Lighting, Floor, Walls and Logo in turn, and pick an option in each.
Select Save studio, name it in Name your studio, then select Save studio.

The studio is rendered, saved to My Studios and set as your active studio.

How to build a scene

Select Studios in the sidebar, then Build.
Open Environment and choose Scene.
In Scene type, choose Full Wall, Feature Wall, Open Scenery or Showroom Front.
Work through the steps that type shows, such as Style, Stage, Ground and Logo, and pick an option in each. Open Scenery has no Logo step.
Select Save scene, name it in Name your scene, then select Save scene.

The scene is saved to My Studios and set as your active scene.

Good to know

Stage is what the car stands on, such as a turntable, or nothing. The choices differ between scene types.
On Floor, a finish tagged Reflective is high-gloss and mirrors the car.
Reset clears your choices so you can start again.
To change one later, open My Studios, select More on its tile, then Edit studio or Edit scene. Changes apply to adverts you create afterwards. Photos you already have keep the background they were made in.
There's a daily limit on studio renders. If you reach it, the screen says so, and it resets within 24 hours.
Building and saving doesn't use any of your monthly images.
On the Free plan you can open Build, try every option and see the preview, but saving is on Pro and Ultra. The library's ready-made studios and scenes can be saved on every plan: see Use the studio library (Free).

In the Motuva app

Your saved studios and scenes are under Scenes. Building one needs a bigger screen, so the app sends you to your computer.
