What Studio does NOT do

Motuva Studio generates studio imagery — it doesn't retouch, repair or misrepresent vehicles. Here's what's out of scope.

Being clear about what Studio can't do is as important as explaining what it can. Here's a plain list.

Studio does not repair or retouch the car

If the car has visible damage — dents, scratches, chips, cracked lenses — Studio does not remove or fix them. The AI is interpreting your photo to generate an image, not a retoucher editing a specific defect.

Some minor imperfections may not appear clearly in the generated image, depending on the angle, lighting and the detail level in your source photo. Do not rely on this and do not use a Motuva image to conceal damage or misrepresent the condition of a vehicle.

Studio does not change the car

Studio does not change the car's colour, trim level or specification. What's in your source photo is what the AI works from. If you photograph a grey base-model car, the generated image shows a grey base-model car.

Studio does not change the angle

The generated image is produced from the same angle as your source photo. If you photograph the car from the front three-quarter, the generated image shows a front three-quarter view. Studio cannot rotate the car or generate a different perspective from a single source image.

Studio is not a retouching tool

Studio cannot:

  • Remove people, reflections or objects from the car's bodywork.
  • Fix reflections in the glass.
  • Change the wheel design.
  • Hand-edit an individual number plate on request — plate handling is automatic on every image and set once, not a per-photo retouch (how plates work).

Studio does not alter the car's condition for legal purposes

Motuva AI imagery is a marketing tool. The same Consumer Rights obligations that apply to your forecourt photography apply here. Images must not misrepresent the age, mileage, condition or specification of the vehicle. Motuva images represent the car as it was photographed — it is the dealer's responsibility to ensure the source photo is accurate.

What about image quality and accuracy?

The AI works to a very high standard — but it's honestly never 100%. Fine details like plates, badges, trim lines and logos can vary. See Is generative AI going to look fake — can I trust it? for a fuller explanation of how quality works and what to do when a result isn't right.
